The Children's Feeding Program in the Catorce Neighborhood
These are some photos from the first few weeks of the Children's Feeding Program in the Catorce neighborhood, which we started August 19, 2006. We apologize, because they're not at all good quality photos, but they at least give you an idea of the joy it is to minister to and feed these precious kids.

Our volunteer helpers * These mothers came along with their kids to the Feeding Program, and cheerfully volunteered to help with the cleanup afterwards. The next week they came early to help cook! :) Please pray for them, because they come from very poor homes. * 2100 x 1400 * (1.1MB)

Monica * Monica - a girl that God has put especially on our hearts! There are 10 kids in her family, and when she first came she would hardly even talk! Itzel * Itzel is the daughter of Berna and Pera, a couple who just recently got involved in the home group. Even though they're new, they've jumped right in to help with the Feeding Program, and they've been a wonderful help! Remarkably, Itzel has actually received prophetic words - one night she sat up in bed and said very clearly ?Christ is coming, and He's coming for the righteous,? something she would never have heard anywhere else. Please pray for God to continue His work in Itzel and all of her family. * 883 x 690 * (230KB)

Chicken soup * There's nothing like a huge pot of chicken soup with lots of vegetables! The kids love it! Some of them ate 3 or 4 big bowls until they were totally stuffed! :) * 2100 x 1400 * (766KB)
